Vanilla Ice cream with toasted pine nuts


I have tons of pine nuts (at about $4 per 100g) from my Taiwan trip. 

Toasted pine nuts then added to vanilla ice cream. Great combination... Very nice!

breakfast

Breakfast this morning. About 40 mins including fruit juice and coffee (not pictured) plus washing. Doable albeit slightly busy. 

Scrambles eggs acceptably creamy. But I think I still added the yolk slightly too quickly after the whites.

Sunday dinner

Quickie dinner with pasta and grilled veg.

The sauce is the pesto made earlier plus bacon, diced zucchini and diced tomatoes. With a bit more tomato, this sauce would be very nice.

Grilled veg and pasta


Made grilled veg. Also had some leftover lasagna meat sauce which I used with my failed experiment in home made tortellini.mw says my sauce is nice (I lightened it with a bit of yogurt).


Pesto with a tomato leavening


Made pesto today. My agaration resulted in a too nutty tasting pesto at first. Added cherry tomatoes and a tiny bit of apple vinegar and the result isn't too bad. Has a nice finish. Should retain this method.
